Luwes Inovasi Mandiri Brings Innovation to UI Innovation Festival 2026

Depok – PT Luwes Inovasi Mandiri is participating in the UI Innovation Festival (UIIF) 2026, held on 2–3 October 2026 at the Main Atrium, Gandaria City, Jakarta. At the innovation exhibition, Luwes is showcasing two technology solutions developed to support environmental monitoring and area management: the Landslide Monitoring System and Shallow Water Mapper (SWM).

Luwes’ participation in UIIF 2026 provides an opportunity to demonstrate how monitoring technology, telemetry, and geospatial data processing can be applied to real-world challenges. Although the two technologies take different approaches, they share the same objective: to provide more measurable information as a basis for monitoring and decision-making.

Monitoring Slope Movement with the Landslide Monitoring System

The Landslide Monitoring System is designed to support the monitoring of changes or movements in slope areas that may be vulnerable to instability. The system enables field conditions to be observed periodically or continuously, with data transmitted to a monitoring platform so that changes in site conditions can be tracked without relying solely on manual inspections.

This real-time monitoring concept is particularly relevant for areas exposed to ground movement risks, including hilly regions, roads, construction sites, mining areas, and infrastructure located near slopes.

As part of its previous development efforts, Luwes has also gained experience in an Affordable Landslide Early Warning System using a continuous laser sensor, supporting the broader development of technology-based monitoring and disaster mitigation systems.

By storing measurement data digitally, users can review changes and trends over time and use the information as supporting input for mitigation activities and risk management.

Shallow Water Mapper for Shallow-Water Bathymetric Mapping

The second innovation introduced at UIIF 2026 is the Shallow Water Mapper (SWM), a bathymetric mapping application designed to help provide depth information in shallow waters using remote sensing technology.

SWM utilizes medium-resolution satellite imagery, which is processed through an algorithm to generate depth estimates and representations of shallow-water seabed morphology. The processed results can be presented as spatial information and contour maps, helping users better understand the characteristics of a water area.

The technology is intended to reduce reliance on direct field surveys during the initial stages of mapping. Based on Luwes’ internal development materials, SWM is designed with GIS integration capabilities, a user-friendly interface, customizable features, and a target depth accuracy of up to approximately 1 meter, depending on the available data and conditions of the area being analyzed.

Its potential applications include coastal mapping, conservation area management, environmental research, fisheries, as well as marine resource planning and monitoring.
