Plan a system that fits your site

If your need does not fit one product, describe the task first. We can discuss how sensors, existing equipment and records could work together. Compatibility, available access and the agreed project scope determine what can be connected.

  1. Step 1

List the equipment and the problem to solve: missing records, separate screens, manual checks or delayed information. Identify who uses the data and what action follows each important change.

  2. Step 2

Check the existing interfaces, data formats and permissions. Some devices provide a supported connection; others may need an adapter or replacement. Confirm feasibility before promising that all equipment can be integrated.

  3. Step 3

Agree a small test, then the delivery scope and acceptance checks. Use real readings to verify units, timestamps, alerts and operator access. Document how to return to the previous workflow if a connection is interrupted.

What to prepare before asking for a quote

  • Send the site location, equipment names and models, photographs, available manuals and a sketch of the current workflow. Note which systems can be accessed and who can approve a change.
  • Separate must-have functions from later improvements. Include expected users, sites, record retention and export needs. For control functions, describe operating limits, manual controls and the responsible safety team.

Care and ongoing costs

Agree who maintains each part: sensors, power, network, software and existing equipment. Record settings, access roles and replacement needs. Ask whether visits, updates, remote support and spare parts are included or quoted separately.

Know the limits

Custom work is not a universal ready-made package. The final design, delivery schedule and cost follow the agreed scope and checks of the existing site. We should confirm changes in writing when requirements or equipment access change.

Questions before you order

Can I keep the equipment I already have?

Possibly, after checking its condition and supported connections. Share the model, manual and sample data. The proposal should say which equipment is retained, what needs an adapter and what cannot be connected within the agreed scope.

What should a complete quotation include?

Ask for equipment models and quantities, installation work, software and data access, tests, training, handover documents, support terms and recurring costs. Confirm what is excluded and which responsibilities stay with your team before ordering.
